Cup of Joe

Cup of Joe is a Filipino pop/rock band that emerged from Baguio City, Philippines. Formed in November 2018 by a group of senior high school students from St. Louis University, the band initially performed at school events. However, their original compositions quickly gained recognition, and they made a significant breakthrough with their song “Nag-iisang Muli.” This success led to their signing with Viva Records in 2019, setting the stage for their rise in the Filipino music scene.

The band’s current lineup features co-lead vocalists Gian Bernardino and Raphaell Ridao, lead guitarist Gabriel Fernandez, rhythm guitarist CJ Fernandez, and keyboardist Xen Gareza. In August 2024, bassist Raphael “Sevi” Severino parted ways with the group, leaving them as a quintet. Cup of Joe’s music combines pop and rock influences, known for its catchy melodies and deeply emotional lyrics. In 2023, their single “Tingin,” featuring Janine Teñoso, became a major hit and was recognized by Billboard Philippines as one of the top songs of the year. Their debut album Silakbo, released in January 2024, soared to the top of the Apple Music Philippines chart and propelled them into the top five of Spotify Philippines’ Daily Top OPM Artists chart. With their heartfelt performances and relatable music, Cup of Joe continues to captivate audiences not only in the Philippines but internationally as well.
