Santiago Orrego Gallego, better known by his stage name SOG, is a dynamic Colombian producer and artist who has left an undeniable mark on the Latin urban music scene. Hailing from the Santander neighborhood of Medellín, his love for music began at home—his grandfather introduced him to the guitar and tiple, two traditional instruments that sparked his creative curiosity. Originally drawn to American rock bands like Blink-182 and Red Hot Chili Peppers, SOG’s musical direction changed completely the day he discovered reggaetón on a burned CD. That moment lit the spark for what would become a thriving career in Latin music.

SOG’s big break came in 2011 with the hit “Tu Cuerpo Me Llama,” a track that quickly gained traction across Colombia. His early collaborations with Yelsid on songs like “El Bus” and “Volverás” helped build his name in the local scene. By 2012, he had joined forces with Medellín’s powerhouse label Kapital Music, refining his production style alongside a new wave of hitmakers and setting the stage for even bigger projects.

Since then, SOG has worked with some of the hottest names in the industry—Ryan Castro, Blessd, Peso Pluma, Feid, Zion, Myke Towers, and Carlos Vives, to name a few. His production on “Quema” by Ryan Castro and Peso Pluma earned him a Diamond certification from the RIAA and a spot on the Billboard Hot 100. In February 2024, he dropped his highly anticipated debut album, SOG, Vol. 1, featuring a fresh lineup of rising stars.

Recognized for his signature phrases #QUECHIMBASOG and #QUEPISTAPA, SOG brings Medellín flavor to a global audience, all while staying true to his roots. His mix of streetwise beats, heartfelt melodies, and creative authenticity make him one of the most influential forces in Colombian reggaetón today.
