SoFaygo, born Andre Dontrel Burt Jr. on October 3, 2001, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is an American rapper and singer who has quickly made a name for himself in the hip-hop scene. Growing up in a religious household, with his mother being an evangelist and his father a pastor, SoFaygo was surrounded by music from an early age. His love for the craft was nurtured through his involvement in church choirs and his early influences from artists like Chris Brown and Drake.

In his teenage years, SoFaygo moved to Cobb County, Georgia, where he began recording music. Under the stage name Trvllinese, he released his first projects, “We Are Aliens” and “Goonland,” on SoundCloud in 2018. His breakthrough came in 2019 with the mixtape War, which featured the viral hit “Knock Knock.” The track gained massive popularity, particularly on TikTok, and eventually earned a platinum certification by the RIAA.

In 2020, SoFaygo signed with Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack Records, marking a significant milestone in his career. His music continued to evolve with the release of the Angelic 7 mixtape and collaborations with artists like Trippie Redd and Don Toliver. His debut studio album, Pink Heartz, came out in 2022, featuring high-profile collaborations, though it received mixed reactions from fans.

Blending elements of hip-hop, trap, emo rap, and rage, SoFaygo’s sound is influenced by artists like Chief Keef, Young Thug, and Chris Brown. As of 2023, he continues to evolve, releasing projects like the EP GO+ and the single “What You Want,” solidifying his place in modern hip-hop.
