Sleepnet

Sleepnet is the solo alias of Nik Roos, a visionary Dutch electronic music producer and visual artist based in Groningen, Netherlands. Before launching his solo project, Nik was one-third of the legendary trio Noisia, a group that redefined drum and bass and left a lasting mark on electronic music. After Noisia disbanded in 2020, Nik embraced a fresh creative direction and introduced the world to Sleepnet—an immersive sonic identity blending intricate sound design with deep emotional resonance.

Sleepnet made his solo debut in 2021 with the “First Light” EP, released through Noisia’s label VISION. The seven-track release featured collaborations with cutting-edge artists like Former and IMANU, and included standout tracks such as “Love No More,” “Angel Blade,” and “Void Song.” The EP was a deeply personal project, exploring themes of grief, rebirth, and inner transformation—echoing the emotional weight of transitioning from a group legacy to a solo voice.

In 2025, Sleepnet reunited with Former for a collaborative project called Ring Noord, debuting their shared musical vision through a full-length DJ set titled [RN-0xA0]. The set showcased a darker, more experimental side of their work, pushing boundaries in both rhythm and texture.

Sleepnet’s music sits at the intersection of drum and bass, electronica, and cinematic storytelling. His productions are known for their rich atmospheres, razor-sharp details, and emotional depth. As he continues to evolve, Sleepnet remains a powerful force in the electronic scene—respected for his innovation, precision, and deeply personal sound.
