Sleep Theory is an American rock band from Memphis, Tennessee, formed in 2020. The group blends elements of heavy metal, R&B, and pop, creating a distinctive sound that resonates with a wide range of listeners. The band consists of vocalist Cullen Moore, guitarist Daniel Pruitt, bassist Paolo Vergara, and drummer Ben Pruitt.

Cullen Moore, a U.S. Army veteran and son of an R&B musician, initially embarked on a solo project in 2019 to merge his love for hard rock, funk, and R&B. This solo endeavor eventually evolved into Sleep Theory when Moore teamed up with bassist Paolo Vergara, followed by the addition of the Pruitt brothers, Daniel and Ben, completing the lineup.

In 2023, Sleep Theory released their debut EP, Paper Hearts, which gained significant traction with tracks like “Another Way” and “Numb.” The EP garnered over 33 million streams across various platforms, showcasing the band’s growing popularity. Their sound, driven by Moore’s powerful vocals, fuses influences from pop, R&B, and rock, earning them recognition for their genre-blending style.

Looking ahead, Sleep Theory is set to release their debut album, Afterglow, on May 16, 2025. The album’s lead single, “Stuck in My Head,” has already made waves, charting at number five on the U.S. Alternative Songs chart.
