Shanti Shree Pariyar

Shanti Shree Pariyar, born on October 18, 1989, in Rolpa, Nepal, is a celebrated Nepali folk singer known for her emotive and powerful voice. Growing up in a large family of nine, she faced significant challenges that fueled her determination to pursue a career in music. At 16, she moved to Kathmandu alone to follow her musical aspirations, starting by performing in “Dohori Sanjh” events for nearly nine years.

To refine her skills, Shanti Shree studied under Guru Chandan Kumar Shrestha at Gandarbha Kala Kendra. Her dedication to music led to her selection by Radio Nepal in 2009, marking a major step in her career. In 2011, she released her debut album Ghar cha Tin Tale, which was well-received and launched her into the national spotlight.

Since then, Shanti Shree has recorded over 1,000 songs, including hit tracks like “Galbandi,” “Chauka Dau,” “Kura Bujhna Parchha,” and “Kauli.” Her contributions to Nepali folk music have earned her numerous accolades, including the Kantipur National Music Award and multiple Image Awards for her vocal performances.

In addition to her music career, Shanti Shree has ventured into acting, appearing in several Nepali films. She has also built a strong online presence with over 250,000 YouTube subscribers, 350,000 TikTok followers, and 555,000 Facebook followers, continuing to inspire and influence the Nepali music scene.
