Seyi Vibez

Balogun Afolabi Oluwaloseyi, better known by his stage name Seyi Vibez, is a rising Nigerian singer and songwriter who has made a significant mark with his fusion of Afrobeat and Fuji music. Born on July 12, 2000, in Ketu, Lagos, he grew up in Ikorodu, a part of Lagos known for its vibrant music scene, which greatly influenced his style. Seyi Vibez began his musical journey in 2019 with his debut single “Anybody,” but it was his 2020 breakout hit “God Sent” that truly put him on the map, earning widespread attention for his unique sound and lyrical depth.

In 2021, Seyi released his first studio album, No Seyi No Vibez, which helped establish him as a mainstay in the Nigerian music scene. The album’s success was further cemented by the release of his sophomore effort, Billion Dollar Baby, in 2022. The album featured the chart-topping single “Chance (Na Ham),” which not only became a fan favorite but also ranked highly on charts, including debuting at number 19 on the UK Afrobeats Singles Chart. His ability to blend raw street-hop influences with melodic tunes set him apart from his peers.

In addition to his commercial success, Seyi Vibez has garnered multiple accolades, such as winning the Best Street-Hop Artiste award at the 16th Headies Awards for “Chance (Na Ham).” His debut EP, Memory Card, released in 2023, earned critical acclaim and amassed millions of streams in its first week. Despite personal setbacks, including the loss of his mother in 2023, Seyi Vibez continues to captivate audiences with his heartfelt lyrics and energetic performances, cementing his place as one of Nigeria’s top emerging artists.
