SEUNGKWAN (승관)

Boo Seungkwan (부승관), born on January 16, 1998, in Busan and raised on Jeju Island, is a beloved South Korean singer and entertainer known for his powerhouse vocals, quick wit, and heartfelt presence. As the main vocalist of SEVENTEEN, under Pledis Entertainment, Seungkwan has played a key role in shaping the group’s sound and emotional depth since their debut in 2015.

Discovered after a teacher uploaded a video of him singing at a school festival, Seungkwan joined Pledis in 2012 and trained for over three years. Within SEVENTEEN, he shines not only as a member of the Vocal Team but also in the vibrant sub-unit BSS (BooSeokSoon) with bandmates DK and Hoshi. Their 2023 hit “Fighting” with Lee Young-ji became an anthem of positivity and was even selected as the cheer song for Korea’s team at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Seungkwan is also a natural-born entertainer. He’s become a staple on variety shows like Unexpected Q, Prison Life of Fools, and Job Dongsan, earning recognition for his humor, relatability, and quick-thinking charm. In 2024, he ventured into solo work with the moving ballad “Dandelion” and contributed to the Ask the Stars drama OST, further showcasing his range as an artist.
