Seafret

Seafret is a British indie folk duo formed in 2011 in Bridlington, East Yorkshire, made up of vocalist Jack Sedman and guitarist Harry Draper. Their name cleverly combines the ‘sea’ from their coastal hometown and the ‘fret’ of a guitar, reflecting their musical roots.

The duo’s musical journey began when they crossed paths at an open mic night in their hometown, where their instant chemistry led to a unique partnership. They quickly gained attention for their ability to blend acoustic sounds with subtle electronic elements, creating a signature style that resonates with listeners.

In September 2014, Seafret released their debut EP Give Me Something, followed by the Oceans EP in 2015. The latter’s music video featured actress Maisie Williams, which helped broaden their reach. Their debut album, Tell Me It’s Real, dropped in January 2016 and charted at number 59 on the UK Albums Chart, marking a significant milestone in their career.

Seafret continued to evolve, releasing subsequent EPs like Monsters in 2018 and Piano Sessions in 2021. Known for their heartfelt lyrics and the seamless fusion of acoustic and electronic sounds, their music has captivated audiences worldwide.
