Sam Barber

Sam Barber, born on April 15, 2003, in Perry County, Missouri, is an emerging American singer-songwriter known for his blend of country, rock, folk, and alternative sounds. Growing up on his family’s farm in Frohna, Missouri, Barber initially pursued athletics rather than music, only discovering his passion for songwriting during his teenage years.

While studying civil engineering at the State Technical College of Missouri in 2021, Barber began sharing his original songs and covers on TikTok. His music quickly gained attention, which led to a record deal with Lockeland Springs under Atlantic Records. In September 2021, he released his debut single, “Run Away High,” followed by popular tracks like “Ramblin Man,” “Straight and Narrow,” and “As Time Passes.” His single “Straight and Narrow” achieved gold certification, marking a significant milestone in his career.

In September 2023, Barber released his debut EP, Million Eyes, which featured the emotionally charged ballad “Save Me,” tackling themes of mental health. That year, he performed at Bruce Springsteen’s BST Hyde Park series, opened for Ed Sheeran, and made his debut at the Grand Ole Opry—an iconic moment in his rise to prominence.

Continuing his rapid momentum, Barber released the single “S.O.B.” in February 2024 and embarked on his “Restless Mind” tour, which began in August. His highly anticipated debut album, Restless Mind, is set to drop in November 2024, promising 27 tracks, including recent hits. Barber’s journey from a small-town farm to a national stage showcases his authentic voice and deep connection with his audience.
