About Saiko
Miguel Cantos Gómez, better known by his stage name Saiko, is a rising star in the Spanish urban music scene, known for his melodic flow, emotional lyrics, and genre-blending sound. Born on May 25, 2002, in Armilla, Granada, Saiko got his start in music at a young age, first diving into freestyle battles before forming a duo with his brother called Wido y Saiko. His solo career took off in 2020 with early singles like “Te quiero fuera” and “Tropically”, where he began experimenting with sounds that fused Afrobeat, reggaeton, and Latin trap.
Saiko’s big breakthrough came in 2022 with “Polaris”, a track that quickly caught fire in Spain and earned gold certification. A remix version featuring Latin heavyweights Quevedo, Mora, and Feid pushed the song to even greater heights, helping Saiko gain recognition far beyond his hometown. His talent for combining smooth melodies with sharp lyricism positioned him as one of the most promising voices of a new generation of Spanish urban artists.
In 2023, Saiko continued to make waves with “Supernova”, a chart-topping hit that sampled a chorus from Melendi’s “Un violinista en tu tejado.” He followed this with the release of his EP “Saliendo del planeta”, collaborating with big names like Yandel and Polimá Westcoast, and played major live shows—including a sold-out concert in his hometown of Granada.
April 2024 marked a major milestone with the release of his debut album “Sakura”, a 16-track project featuring J Balvin, Bryant Myers, Dei V, JC Reyes, Mora, and Dellafuente. The album’s lead single “Yo lo soñé” featured Omar Montes and even included a cameo by UFC fighter Ilia Topuria. With Sakura, Saiko proved he’s more than a viral success—he’s an artist with staying power, pushing boundaries and carving out a unique space in Latin urban music.
