About ROSÉ
Roseanne Park, better known as Rosé, is a New Zealand-born South Korean singer and songwriter, celebrated for her unique voice and captivating performances. Born on February 11, 1997, in Auckland, New Zealand, Rosé moved to Melbourne, Australia, as a child, where she grew up in the suburb of Bulleen. It was during this time that she developed a passion for music, learning both piano and guitar while attending Canterbury Girls Secondary College.
At the age of 15, Rosé relocated to Seoul, South Korea, to pursue her dreams of becoming a singer. After a successful audition in Sydney in 2012, she joined YG Entertainment and trained for four years before debuting as the main vocalist of BLACKPINK in August 2016. With her distinctive voice, she quickly became a key figure in the group’s rise to international fame, contributing to hits like “DDU-DU DDU-DU” and “How You Like That.”
In March 2021, Rosé embarked on a solo career, releasing her debut single album, “R,” which included the successful tracks “On the Ground” and “GONE.” “On the Ground” topped the Billboard Global 200 chart, making her the first artist to reach number one both as a soloist and as part of a group.
Rosé’s solo career continued to thrive with the release of her debut studio album, “Rosie,” on December 6, 2024. Featuring the chart-topping single “APT.” with Bruno Mars, the album made waves, with “APT.” breaking records, including becoming the fastest K-pop music video to surpass one billion views on YouTube.
Rosé’s journey from Melbourne to global stardom is a testament to her resilience and talent, solidifying her as one of the industry’s most prominent figures.
