The lineup includes vocalist Mike Olender, guitarist John Adubato, bassist Brett Bamberger, and drummer Dave Witte. The band was born from the ashes of Burnt By The Sun, with Olender, Adubato, and Witte reuniting years after their former band’s breakup in 2009. Their goal was clear—to channel their collective experience into a fresh, crushingly heavy sound.

In 2017, River Black unleashed their self-titled debut album under the label Season of Mist. The record is a relentless fusion of hardcore, thrash, and death metal, packed with blistering riffs and unrelenting energy.
