Rachel Zegler

Rachel Zegler, born on May 3, 2001, in Hackensack, New Jersey, is an emerging American actress and singer who has quickly gained recognition in the entertainment world. The daughter of a Colombian mother and an American father, Rachel was inspired by her first Broadway experience at the age of four when she saw Beauty and the Beast. Her passion for performance blossomed as she took on her first acting role at 12, playing Shprintze in Fiddler on the Roof, solidifying her love for the stage.

In 2019, Rachel auditioned for the coveted role of María in Steven Spielberg’s remake of West Side Story. Out of 30,000 candidates, her exceptional talent won her the part, marking her feature film debut in 2021 alongside Ansel Elgort. Her remarkable performance earned her the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

Following the success of West Side Story, Rachel took on roles in Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023) and The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes (2023). She also made her Broadway debut in 2024, starring as Juliet in a revival of Romeo + Juliet at the Circle in the Square Theatre.

Rachel will star as Snow White in Disney’s live-action adaptation of the classic, with Gal Gadot playing the Evil Queen.
