Claire Pommet, professionally known as Pomme (French for “apple”), is a critically acclaimed French singer, songwriter, and musician whose artistry combines elements of chanson française, folk-pop, and indie folk. Born on August 2, 1996, in Décines-Charpieu and raised in Caluire-et-Cuire near Lyon, Pomme discovered her passion for music early. She learned music theory at six, joined the children’s choir La Cigale de Lyon at seven, and began playing the cello at eight. Inspired by her musically inclined family and her father’s love for French chanson, she also developed a deep appreciation for American folk and country music.
