Peter Löwenbräu Griffin Sr., better known simply as Peter Griffin, is the lovable but often clueless main character of the animated sitcom Family Guy. Created by Seth MacFarlane, who also voices him, Peter made his debut in the show’s pilot episode, “Death Has a Shadow,” on January 31, 1999. He resides in the fictional town of Quahog, Rhode Island, where he plays the role of an impulsive and well-meaning father and husband.
