Paloalto (팔로알토)

Paloalto, born Jeon Sang-hyun on January 24, 1984, in Busan, South Korea, is a respected rapper, producer, and the founder of Hi-Lite Records. He launched his music career in 2002, making a name for himself in the South Korean hip-hop scene. His big break came when he participated in the fourth season of the popular talent show “Show Me the Money,” which helped catapult him to widespread recognition.

Over the years, Paloalto has released several influential albums, such as Resoundin’ (2005), Daily Routine (2010), Chief Life (2013), Summer Grooves (2018), and Love, Money & Dreams: The Album (2019). His collaborative projects include Behind the Scenes with Evo (2012) and 4 The Youth with Justhis (2018), both of which highlight his versatile approach to hip-hop.

In April 2022, Paloalto made a significant career shift, announcing the disbandment of Hi-Lite Records, the label he founded, and stepping down as its CEO. He now operates under Daytona Entertainment, marking a new chapter in his musical journey.

Known for his smooth flow and insightful lyrics, Paloalto has had a lasting impact on South Korea’s hip-hop landscape.
