Paky

Vincenzo Mattera, better known by his stage name Paky, is a rising star in the Italian hip-hop scene. Born on November 28, 1999, in Naples, Paky moved to Rozzano, a suburb of Milan, at the age of ten. His love for rap music sparked when he witnessed the filming of a Co’Sang music video during his childhood, and his passion only grew during his teenage years as he immersed himself in both Italian and international hip-hop.

Paky launched his music career in 2019 under the name Pakartas, a Lithuanian word meaning “hanged,” before shortening it to Paky. He first gained widespread attention with his debut single “Rozzi,” named after his hometown. The song was a massive success, achieving platinum certification in Italy, which quickly propelled him into the spotlight. His growing popularity led to collaborations with well-known artists such as Shiva, Marracash, and Gué Pequeno, further solidifying his place in the Italian music industry.

In 2022, Paky released his debut studio album Salvatore, which debuted at number one on the FIMI Album Chart and was certified platinum within just three months. The album featured collaborations with top artists like Marracash, Gué, Mahmood, Luchè, and Geolier. Paky continued his success with the deluxe edition, Salvatore vive, which included hit tracks like “Sharm El Sheikh” and “La bellavita,” featuring French artist Jul.

Known for his gritty lyrics and authentic storytelling, Paky blends elements of American trap and UK drill in his music. As of 2025, he remains a dominant figure in the Italian rap scene, with his influence and popularity continuing to rise.
