OneRepublic

OneRepublic is a pop-rock band from Colorado Springs, Colorado, formed in 2002 by Ryan Tedder (lead vocals, multi-instrumentalist) and Zach Filkins (guitarist). The lineup also includes Drew Brown (guitar), Brent Kutzle (bass, cello), Eddie Fisher (drums), and Brian Willett (keyboard).

Tedder and Filkins first connected in high school through soccer and a shared love for music. After college, they reunited in Los Angeles and officially formed OneRepublic. The band first gained traction on MySpace, catching the attention of Mosley Music Group, which signed them in 2006.

Their debut album, Dreaming Out Loud (2007), catapulted them to international fame with the smash hit Apologize, remixed by Timbaland. The song topped charts in 16 countries, while Stop and Stare also became a fan favorite.

In 2009, their second album, Waking Up, delivered hits like All the Right Moves, Secrets, and Good Life, the latter becoming a Billboard Hot 100 top-ten hit. Their third album, Native (2013), solidified their success, with Counting Stars reaching number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and dominating global charts.

They continued evolving with Oh My My (2016) and Human (2021). In 2024, they dropped Artificial Paradise, proving their staying power. To support the album, OneRepublic announced their Escape to Europe tour for 2025, with a major stop in Madrid on November 14.

Beyond the band, Ryan Tedder has made a name for himself as a sought-after songwriter and producer, working with stars like Adele, Beyoncé, and the Jonas Brothers. Drawing inspiration from legends like The Beatles and U2, OneRepublic blends rock, pop, and indie sounds, constantly reinventing themselves while staying true to their signature style.
