Joshua Omar Medina Cortés, better known by his stage name Omar Courtz, is a rising star in the Latin music scene, hailing from Carolina, Puerto Rico. Born on October 11, 1997, Courtz quickly gained attention for his dynamic blend of reggaeton, Latin trap, and R&B. His journey into music began early, working in a clothing store frequented by reggaeton icons like Daddy Yankee, Anuel AA, and Ozuna. Surrounded by musical influences, he developed a deep passion for the craft, which ultimately led him to pursue a career in music rather than his initial studies in mechanical engineering.

Omar Courtz’s breakthrough came in 2020 with the viral hit “En Tu Nota,” a song that captured the hearts of fans during the COVID-19 pandemic. This success helped him sign with Pitbull’s Mr. 305 Records, making him the label’s second Puerto Rican artist. His unique sound and compelling songwriting quickly earned him recognition in the urban music scene.
