Omah Lay—born Stanley Omah Didia on May 19, 1997—is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer who’s quickly risen to international fame as a defining voice in the Afrobeats movement. Hailing from Port Harcourt, Nigeria, music runs deep in his roots. His grandfather was a drummer for highlife legend Celestine Ukwu, and his father followed suit with a passion for rhythm and percussion.

Omah Lay first dipped his toes into music as a teenager, performing as a rapper under the name “Lil King.” He later shifted behind the scenes as a producer, but it wasn’t long before his unique sound pushed him into the spotlight.
