Taha Othman Ahmad, professionally known as Odetari, is an innovative American producer, rapper, and songwriter who has quickly made a name for himself in the electronic dance music (EDM) scene. Born on January 1, 2000, in Houston, Texas, and of Palestinian descent, Odetari began his musical journey at the age of 13 when his parents gifted him a Native Instruments Maschine. His early musical influences included video game soundtracks, particularly from The Legend of Zelda, and artists like Tyler, the Creator.

Before committing to music full-time, Odetari worked as a substitute teacher in Houston. His breakthrough came in October 2022 when he began sharing his tracks on TikTok. His viral content, often featuring audio deepfakes of video game characters set to his beats, skyrocketed his popularity. This led to his track “Narcissistic Personality Disorder” debuting at number 11 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart in April 2023. His subsequent hits like “Good Loyal Thots” and “Look Don’t Touch” solidified his standing in the EDM community.

In July 2023, Odetari released his debut EP 3×3, in collaboration with New Zealand producer 9lives, marking a milestone in his career. He signed a multi-album deal with Artist Partner Group and topped the Dance/Electronic Songwriters chart for 17 consecutive weeks by September 2023. His debut solo EP, XIII Sorrows, was released on September 13, 2023. Known for his energetic, glitchy trap beats and video game-inspired melodies, Odetari’s music has earned him the nickname “final boss music.”

By February 2024, Odetari had amassed over two million followers on TikTok, reflecting his growing influence in the digital music world.
