NINGNING

Ningning, born Ning Yizhuo on October 23, 2002, in Harbin, China, is a talented Chinese singer and the youngest member, or “maknae,” of the South Korean girl group aespa. Growing up in Harbin, she later moved to Beijing to pursue her dream of becoming a singer, which led to her eventual debut in the K-pop industry.

Before joining aespa, Ningning gained early experience as a contestant on the Chinese singing competition “Let’s Sing Kids” in 2015. She went on to join SM Entertainment’s pre-debut training team, SM Rookies, in 2016. After years of intense training, Ningning debuted as the main vocalist of aespa in November 2020. Their debut track, “Black Mamba,” quickly captured attention, marking aespa’s powerful entry into the K-pop scene.

Ningning’s musical journey extends beyond aespa’s group activities. In 2023, she collaborated with Jay Park on the single “WYA,” featured on the WeTV show The Next 2023. Additionally, she showcased her vocal talent by contributing to the OST “Count on Me” for the drama The Midnight Studio in 2024.

Her influence also extends into fashion, as Ningning was appointed the global brand ambassador for the luxury Italian fashion house Versace in February 2024. She became the face of Versace’s Kleio Bag campaign and participated in their holiday campaign that same year. In 2025, she was also selected as the model for FILA’s Spring/Summer campaign and named Maybelline New York’s brand ambassador for North and Southeast Asia.

With her impressive achievements in both music and fashion, Ningning continues to solidify her position as a rising star in the entertainment world.
