About Nerissima Serpe

Nerissima Serpe, born Matteo Di Falco on October 6, 2000, in the small town of Siziano, Italy, is quickly becoming one of the most compelling voices in modern Italian hip-hop. With a sound that draws from early 2000s rap, moody samples, and gritty storytelling, Serpe fuses old-school influences with a raw, contemporary edge. His love of Russian literature and iconic Italian artists like Vasco Rossi, Guè, and Marracash deeply shapes his lyrical approach—often introspective, poetic, and rooted in the realities of youth culture.

He first caught national attention in 2019 after a standout feature on VillaBanks’ track “Guadalajara,” which opened the door for his 2020 debut Denti da latte. That project laid the groundwork for his gritty, emotionally charged sound. A year later, he teamed up with longtime collaborators Papa V and producer Fritu on Mafia Slime, a joint project that built a strong underground following and marked the birth of a now-iconic trio in Italian rap.

In 2023, Serpe released his solo album Identità, a defining moment in his career. It cracked Italy’s top 20 charts and earned praise from Billboard Italia for its vulnerability and sonic range. January 2025 brought the sequel Mafia Slime 2, which debuted at No. 1 in Italy and climbed the Swiss charts. Hits like “Tip Tap” and “Wop Wop” turned into fan anthems, fueling a sold-out national tour.

Nerissima Serpe continues to push boundaries, building a career on honesty, experimentation, and a deep connection to his roots.
