About Ntò
Ntò, born Antonio Riccardi on August 25, 1982, in Naples, Italy, is a trailblazer in Italian hip-hop, celebrated for his raw lyricism and deep-rooted connection to Neapolitan identity. He first rose to prominence as one half of the legendary duo Co’Sang, alongside Luchè, in the early 2000s. Their albums Chi more pe’ mme (2005) and Vita bona (2009) painted vivid portraits of life in the gritty neighborhoods of Naples, blending social realism with emotional depth and earning them cult status in Italy’s rap underground.
After Co’Sang disbanded in 2012, Ntò forged ahead solo, determined to both evolve as an artist and uplift new voices through his collective Stirpe Nova. His 2013 solo debut, Il coraggio impossibile, mixed Italian and Neapolitan dialects and featured high-profile collaborations with Enzo Avitabile, Clementino, and Rocco Hunt. In 2014, Numero 9 followed, with the standout track “Nuje vulimme ‘na speranza” featured in the TV series Gomorra, further boosting his profile.
Ntò’s later projects, including Col Sangue (2016) and Rinascimento (2019), reflected a more introspective artist—politically aware and lyrically precise. Signing with Sony Music Italy, he released Nevada (2020), an ambitious, genre-blending album featuring artists like Jake La Furia and Nina Zilli.
Beyond music, Ntò has explored acting and filmmaking, including the 2023 documentary Legacy – Il destino di una Stirpe, a reflection on his artistic path. In 2024, he and Luchè reunited Co’Sang for Dinastia, an instant chart-topper that marked a powerful return to their roots—cementing Ntò’s legacy as a voice of Naples and a pillar of Italian rap.
