Nepathya is one of Nepal’s most beloved and enduring music bands, known for redefining the country’s musical landscape. Formed in 1990 by Deepak Rana, Bhim Poon, and Amrit Gurung in Kathmandu, the band pioneered a genre-blending style that fuses traditional Nepali folk music with modern rock, creating a powerful sound that resonates across generations.

Today, Amrit Gurung remains the band’s frontman and only founding member still active. Songs like “Jomsome Bazaarma,” “Chhekyo Chhekyo,” and “Bhedako Oon Jasto” are considered modern-day classics.

Internationally, Nepathya has made remarkable strides, performing in over 15 countries. In 2013, they became the first Nepali band to perform at London’s Wembley Arena, a milestone that brought their message of peace and cultural pride to a global stage.
