Nancy Ajram

Nancy Ajram is one of the most beloved and influential voices in the Arab world, often hailed as the Queen of Arab Pop. Born on May 16, 1983, in Achrafieh, Beirut, Lebanon, Nancy discovered her passion for music at a young age. She first appeared on national television at just eight years old, and by twelve, she had already claimed the gold medal in the Tarab category on the Lebanese talent show Noujoum Al-Moustakbal (Stars of the Future).

Her professional career began with the release of her debut album Mihtagalak in 1998, but it wasn’t until 2003’s Ya Salam that she truly broke into the mainstream. The album’s lead single, “Akhasmak Ah,” introduced a fresh pop sensibility that reshaped the Arabic music landscape. The following year, Ah W Noss cemented her superstar status, with hit tracks like “Ah W Noss” and “Lawn Ouyounak” dominating airwaves.

Nancy has shown her versatility not just in pop, but also in children’s music with albums like Shakhbat Shakhabit (2007) and Super Nancy (2012), both widely praised by families across the Arab world. Her 2008 release, Betfakkar Fi Eih, earned her a World Music Award, making her the youngest Arab artist to achieve that honor.

Offstage, Nancy is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and a former judge on Arab Idol and The Voice Kids Arabia. She is married to Dr. Fadi El Hachem, with whom she shares three daughters. With over 30 million records sold, Nancy Ajram continues to inspire generations through her music and humanitarian work.
