Mushkaa

Mushkaa, born Irma Farelo i Solé in 2004 in Vilassar de Mar, Catalonia, is a rising star in the Spanish urban music scene. Coming from a musically gifted family, with her father, Eduard Farelo, being a television actor, and her sister, Alba Farelo, known as Bad Gyal, a celebrated urban artist, music has always been part of her life.

Mushkaa’s musical journey began at an early age when she learned to play the trumpet. In 2021, she ventured into the music industry professionally with her debut single, “Res Kla,” which quickly gained traction, accumulating over 100,000 streams on Spotify. Her sound blends reggaeton, dancehall, R&B, and rap, with a unique “nostalgic and sensitive” tone that sets her apart.

Her discography includes the well-received “Tas Loko Mixtape” (2023) and her debut album, “SexySensible” (2024), which features collaborations with her sister Bad Gyal, as well as producers Roots and Bexnil. One of the standout tracks, “SexeSexy,” with Bad Gyal, has been pivotal in her rise.

In 2024, she released “Nova Bossa,” an album that marks her artistic growth, combining Latin rhythms like bossa nova, samba, and salsa with electronic beats. Her live performances have been a significant part of her success, including notable appearances at Barcelona’s Fiestas de La Mercè and Sala Apolo.

Mushkaa’s work has earned her recognition, including the “Best Urban Music Album” and “Best Revealing Artist” awards at the Premis de la Música Catalana in 2024. With her innovative fusion of traditional Catalan elements and contemporary urban sounds, Mushkaa is cementing herself as a key figure in Catalan music.
