EST Gee

George Albert Stone III, better known as EST Gee, is a prominent American rapper and songwriter whose powerful storytelling and raw portrayal of street life have earned him a significant place in the hip-hop scene. Born on May 11, 1994, in Louisville, Kentucky, EST Gee grew up in the Clarksdale Projects and later in Tubman Court & Ellington Avenue, environments that deeply influenced his tough, no-nonsense lyrical style.

Originally a football player, EST Gee earned a scholarship to Indiana State University, but his athletic aspirations were cut short due to injuries. While on house arrest, he turned to music for solace and inspiration, particularly after watching Lil Baby’s performances. It was during this time that he adopted the name “EST Gee,” with “EST” symbolizing “Everybody Shines Together,” representing his desire for collective success.

He began his career in 2017 with the release of his debut project “Stains” under the name “Big Gee.” After rebranding himself as EST Gee, he quickly gained recognition with a series of mixtapes. In 2020, he signed with Yo Gotti’s Collective Music Group (CMG) and Interscope Records. That year, he released two impactful mixtapes, “Ion Feel Nun” and “I Still Don’t Feel Nun,” featuring collaborations with prominent artists like Yo Gotti and 42 Dugg.

EST Gee’s breakthrough came with his 2021 mixtape Bigger Than Life or Death, which peaked at number seven on the Billboard 200. His debut studio album I Never Felt Nun (2022) continued this success, debuting at number eight. Known for his authentic depictions of life in Louisville, his music is a testament to resilience and determination, solidifying him as one of rap’s most influential voices.
