Murasaki Shion

Murasaki Shion (紫咲シオン) is a Japanese Virtual YouTuber (VTuber) who first debuted on August 17, 2018, as a member of hololive’s second generation, alongside talents like Minato Aqua, Nakiri Ayame, Yuzuki Choco, and Oozora Subaru. Standing at 145 cm, Shion introduced herself as a mischievous dark magician of noble birth, mixing magical flair with a playful, cheeky attitude. Her signature greeting, “Hellshio!” — a fun twist on “hello” and her name — perfectly captures her spirited personality.

Known for her blunt and candid speaking style, Shion quickly gained a reputation as a lovable “kusogaki” (brat), often skipping the usual formalities expected in Japanese culture. Despite her youthful energy, she’s famously insistent on reminding everyone that she’s an adult, a running joke that only made her more endearing to her fans. Her lighthearted teasing and playful rivalry, particularly with fellow member Minato Aqua, became one of her trademarks within the hololive community.

Throughout her career, Shion proved to be a versatile entertainer, diving into gaming streams — with Minecraft and various Nintendo titles among her favorites — karaoke sessions, and special events celebrating milestones and new outfits. Her character, designed by illustrator Tam-U, is instantly recognizable with her iconic black and purple witch’s hat, a pink bow, and a golden star, highlighting her magical theme.

After nearly seven incredible years with hololive, Shion announced her graduation, holding her final stream on April 26, 2025. Her departure left a lasting impact, with her fanbase, lovingly known as “Shiokko,” continuing to cherish the memories and laughter she brought into their lives.
