Monday (Weeekly)

Kim Ji-min, known by her stage name Monday, is a South Korean singer, dancer, and rapper born on May 10, 2002, in Sokcho, Gangwon Province. As a member of the girl group Weeekly, formed by IST Entertainment, she serves as the main vocalist, main dancer, and rapper. Monday’s unique blend of talent and charisma quickly helped Weeekly stand out after their debut on June 30, 2020.

Growing up in Sokcho, Monday was exposed to a variety of interests and sports, including dodgeball, volleyball, handball, and gomoku, which she continues to enjoy. She graduated from Cheongmyeong High School and previously attended KYW Dance Studio, where she honed her dance skills before officially joining the entertainment industry. Fans affectionately refer to her as “Monday Carey,” a playful nod to her vibrant personality.

Before her official debut, Monday began training in December 2017 under FAVE Entertainment, later moving to IST Entertainment in November 2021. Her energetic performances and captivating presence helped solidify her place in the K-pop world.

In 2024, she continued to contribute to Weeekly’s growth, participating in the release of their sixth mini-album, Bliss, on July 9, 2024.
