Måns Zelmerlöw, born June 13, 1986, in Lund, Sweden, is a celebrated Swedish singer, television presenter, and actor. Raised by Birgitta Sahlén, a professor at Lund University, and Sven-Olof Zelmerlöw, a surgeon, Måns was exposed to a world of intellect and discipline from an early age. His career took off after his appearance on Swedish Idol in 2005, where he placed fifth. The following year, he triumphed in the first season of Let’s Dance. His breakout song, “Cara Mia,” earned him third place in the 2007 Melodifestivalen, setting the stage for his continued rise in the Swedish music scene.
Måns’ international fame soared in 2015 when he won the Eurovision Song Contest with his powerful anthem “Heroes,” amassing an impressive 365 points. His success led him to co-host the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, cementing his place as one of Sweden’s most prominent entertainers.
