Juan Facundo Almenara Ordóñez, known by his stage name Luck Ra, is an Argentine rapper, singer, and streamer born on February 20, 1999, in Córdoba, Argentina. He grew up in the Marques de Sobremonte neighborhood, harboring dreams of becoming a soccer player until a knee injury redirected his aspirations towards music. His musical journey began with a fascination for Guitar Hero, which inspired him to pursue music seriously. As a child, he admired bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers and singer Manu Chao, eventually learning to play the guitar and forming a rock band named Sueño Hindú. This band performed at small local recitals, marking his early foray into the music scene.

Luck Ra started his musical career in 2017 by uploading songs to various platforms, though these early tracks have since been deleted. His breakthrough came with the single “No Quiero Mas,” released on YouTube on May 23, 2018. The song quickly gained traction, propelling him into the Argentine trap scene. Despite early successes, Luck Ra faced challenges with Panter Music, including issues related to payment and mistreatment. These difficulties led him to pursue his career independently from 2019 onwards. One of his early independent successes was a collaboration with Rusherking on the remake of “Ya No Me Extrañas,” a song that gained significant popularity. He continued to build his solo career with singles like “Fuego” featuring Rusherking, “Me Gusta,” inspired by Manu Chao’s “Me Gustas Tu,” and “Salud,” all of which received positive receptions from listeners.

In December 2020, Luck Ra released one of his most successful tracks, a remix of “Odio Amarte” with Lautaro López. This song became a major hit and remains one of the highlights of his career. The following year, he gained further recognition with the release of “El Campeón,” the official song for Argentina’s participation in the 2021 Copa América. He performed this track alongside Jimena Barón before the Argentina vs. Bolivia match, showcasing his growing influence in the music scene.

Luck Ra continued his rise in 2023 with the release of “La Morocha,” a collaboration with singer BM. This song quickly became a massive hit, reaching millions of plays on various music platforms and topping the Billboard Argentina charts for several weeks. It was widely recognized as the “song of the summer 2024,” solidifying Luck Ra’s status as a significant figure in the Argentine music industry.

In addition to his musical achievements, Luck Ra has cultivated a substantial online presence, with his selfie and self-portrait-filled Instagram feed attracting over 1.9 million followers.
