About Lil Mabu

Matthew Peter DeLuca, better known as Lil Mabu, is an American rapper and songwriter born on April 4, 2005, in Manhattan, New York City. Lil Mabu quickly made a name for himself in the drill rap scene with his energetic delivery and bold, thought-provoking lyrics.

He first ventured into music in 2019, but it was his 2020 track “Miss Me” that helped him gain widespread recognition. In 2022, his collaboration with Dusty Locane on the song “No Snitching” went viral on TikTok, which boosted his profile even further. That same year, he released his debut mixtape Double M’s, featuring collaborations with popular drill artists such as Sha EK, Dougie B, DThang, and Rah Swish.

Lil Mabu’s big break came in 2023 with the release of his single “Mathematical Disrespect,” which charted in the U.S., U.K., and Ireland, marking his first major international success. He followed it up with tracks like “Rich Scholar” and “At What Cost?”. His collaboration with Chrisean Rock on the diss track “Mr. Take Ya Bitch” earned him a spot on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and the Hot 100. Later that year, Lil Mabu teamed up with Fivio Foreign for the song “Teach Me How To Drill,” which trended on YouTube.

Despite his drill rap persona, Lil Mabu maintains a unique balance by attending Emory University, juggling his academics with his burgeoning music career. His ability to merge traditional drill with modern styles has made him a prominent figure in the evolving hip-hop scene.
