Lenny Kravitz, born Leonard Albert Kravitz on May 26, 1964, in New York City, is a multifaceted American artist known for his contributions to music, acting, and design. He is the son of NBC television news producer Sy Kravitz and actress Roxie Roker, and he was exposed to the entertainment industry early on. Raised in a musically diverse environment, Kravitz developed a passion for music from a young age, drawing inspiration from a wide range of genres.

Kravitz’s music career took off with the release of his debut album Let Love Rule in 1989, which introduced his unique blend of rock, funk, soul, reggae, and R&B.
