Kunal Ganjawala

Kunal Ganjawala, born on April 14, 1972, in Pune, Maharashtra, is a highly respected playback singer known for his work across multiple Indian film industries, including Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, and Bengali cinema. His musical journey began with singing jingles, but he truly rose to fame with his breakout song, “Bheege Honth Tere,” from the 2004 film Murder. This hit not only earned him immense popularity but also the prestigious Zee Cine Award for Best Playback Singer in 2005.

Ganjawala’s versatility as a vocalist spans several regional languages. In Kannada cinema, he made his debut with the song “Neene Neene” from Aakash (2005) and further solidified his presence with “Onde Ondu Sari” from the record-breaking hit Mungaru Male (2006). His contributions to Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Odia, Assamese, and Sindhi music have earned him a vast and diverse fanbase.

Aside from his singing career, Ganjawala has also made notable appearances as a judge on singing competitions like Amul Star Voice of India, alongside fellow musicians like Shreya Ghoshal and Pritam. His collaborations with iconic music directors such as Anu Malik, Nadeem-Shravan, and Pritam have resulted in several chart-topping tracks.

On a personal note, Ganjawala married fellow singer Gayatri Iyer in 2005. Together, they have performed the title track for the popular TV show Antakshari. Both continue to leave a lasting impact on the Indian music industry.
