Kenzo B, born Te’arah Gaines on March 4, 2004, in Connecticut, is a rising American rapper and songwriter, widely recognized for her impact on the Bronx drill scene. Growing up in The Bronx, New York, she was immersed in music from a young age, influenced by her family’s musical background, especially her brother Hank, who was an active figure in the city’s rap scene. Kenzo began rapping at just seven years old, developing a passion that would eventually shape her career.

Kenzo B’s breakout moment came in 2022 with her hit single “Bump It,” which garnered over 1.9 million views on YouTube, quickly establishing her as a prominent figure in the drill genre. Known for blending trap, boom-bap, and gangster rap elements, her distinctive style earned her the title of “Queen of Bronx drill.” In October 2022, Kenzo signed with French Montana’s Coke Boys label under Warner Records, further propelling her career.

She released two EPs, Top Dawg in 2022 and Top 2, Not 2 in 2023, which showcased her evolving sound and lyrical depth. Tracks like “The Facts,” featuring Young Devyn, and “Hood Love Story” have been met with widespread acclaim, solidifying her place in the drill scene.
