About Kane Brown

Kane Brown is a trailblazing American country music artist known for blending genres and defying expectations. Born on October 21, 1993, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, he was raised by his mother in the small towns of Georgia and Tennessee. With African-American and Cherokee roots on his father’s side and a deep love for music from an early age, Brown’s background helped shape both his sound and perspective.

He first caught the public’s attention in 2014 by sharing country music covers on social media. His heartfelt performances quickly went viral, leading to the independent release of his debut EP, Closer, in 2015. The success of his single “Used to Love You Sober” drew the attention of RCA Nashville, who signed him shortly after. His self-titled debut album dropped in 2016, featuring “What Ifs,” a chart-topping duet with longtime friend Lauren Alaina. By 2017, Brown had made history as the first artist to simultaneously top all five major Billboard country charts.

His sophomore album, Experiment (2018), showed a more experimental side, incorporating elements of pop and R&B, while 2022’s Different Man included collaborations with artists like H.E.R. In 2025, Brown released his fourth studio album, The High Road, featuring the hit single “Miles On It” with Marshmello. His bold musical choices earned him a spot on Time‘s 100 Most Influential People list and cemented his reputation as the future of country music.

Off stage, Kane shares life with his wife, Katelyn Jae, and their three children—Kingsley, Kodi, and Krewe. Known for his authenticity and openness, he continues to break down barriers in country music while staying grounded in family and purpose.
