About Jyotica Tangri

Jyotica Tangri is a versatile Indian playback singer known for her soulful voice and seamless blend of classical and contemporary styles. Hailing from Jalandhar, Punjab, she nurtured her passion for music early on and went on to study singing and instrumental music at Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar. Her breakthrough came through popular reality shows—The Voice India in 2015 and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in 2016, where she earned praise as a standout finalist.

Tangri’s Bollywood playback debut came in 2017 with “Jai Maa” from Behen Hogi Teri, but it was the infectious hit “Pallo Latke” from Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana that catapulted her into the limelight, winning her the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Playback Singer in 2018. Since then, her repertoire has only grown, featuring songs like “Mungda” (Total Dhamaal), “Shubh Din” (Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran), and “Surmedaani” from the Punjabi film Bajre Da Sitta.

Not confined to Bollywood alone, Jyotica has made her mark in regional music as well, delivering beloved Punjabi tracks such as “Kanda Kacheya” and “Jinne Saah.” She’s lauded for her linguistic dexterity, singing in 21 regional Indian languages and even dabbling in English, French, Arabic, and Japanese. Her collaborations with composer Arjuna Harjai on moody tracks like “Jhoothe” and “Kharaab” reveal her depth and adaptability as an artist.
