Jowell & Randy

Jowell & Randy are a powerhouse duo in the reggaeton world, hailing from Puerto Rico. The duo consists of Joel Muñoz Martínez, better known as “Jowell,” and Randy Ortiz Acevedo, also known as “Randy.” They first made their mark in the early 2000s and quickly gained recognition with their 2007 debut album Los Más Sueltos del Reggaetón. The album’s hit single “Agresivo” helped set the stage for their rise in the Latin urban music scene.

Over the years, Jowell & Randy have released a string of successful albums, including El Momento (2010), Sobredoxis (2013), and Viva el Perreo (2020), with their latest release, Viva la Musik (2024), continuing their legacy. The duo has also been a key part of the reggaeton collective Casa de Leones, which included fellow artists J King & Maximan and Guelo Star, further cementing their influence in the genre.

Beyond their musical achievements, Jowell & Randy have ventured into the fashion world. Randy’s clothing line, Akolatronic, has become a favorite in the reggaeton community, with its reach expanding internationally. The duo’s influence is felt far beyond Puerto Rico, having toured globally and collaborated with numerous artists, spreading reggaeton’s infectious rhythms worldwide.
