Jon Z, born Jonathan Resto Quiñones on May 20, 1991, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, is a leading figure in Latin trap and reggaeton music. He started his musical journey in 2011 as part of the duo J-Tonez and Jon Z, releasing songs like “Nunca te veo” and “El dinero me llama.” However, it was in 2013, when Jon Z began posting freestyle videos on his YouTube channel, JonzTV, that his following grew significantly.

His debut album, JonTrapVolta, came in 2017, and it quickly climbed to the top of Billboard’s Latin Albums chart. A standout moment in his career was the success of the remix of his track “0 Sentimientos,” which featured major artists such as Noriel, Darkiel, Lyan, Messiah, and Baby Rasta. The song amassed over 459 million views on YouTube.

Over the years, Jon Z has worked with a variety of high-profile artists, including Enrique Iglesias, Tyga, Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, and Arcángel. One of his major hits, “Después que te perdí,” with Enrique Iglesias, earned a nomination for “Song of the Year” at the Premios Lo Nuestro in 2019.
