Joé Dwèt Filé

Joé Dwèt Filé, born Joé Guillaume on March 12, 1995, in Montreuil, France, is a talented French-Haitian singer, songwriter, and sound engineer whose music blends Afro-Caribbean influences, especially R&B, zouk, and kompa. Growing up in a religious household, Joé was introduced to music early, joining his church’s gospel choir. This early exposure to music helped shape his unique sound. Later, he formed the band Lespada, which gained popularity through YouTube, leading to his first mixtape, #ESOLF (Et Si On Le Faisait), released in June 2018.

In March 2019, Joé released his debut studio album À deux, which was well-received, reaching number 15 on the French charts and 38 in Belgium. His follow-up album Calypso, released in June 2021, peaked at number 4 in France, continuing his rise in the music world. Joé’s album Daddy 9 in 2023 featured collaborations with artists like Tiakola, Dadju, and Mirella, further establishing his presence in the Afro-Caribbean scene.

Joé’s 2020 EP Eira and the 2021 hit single “Jolie madame,” featuring Ronisia, became his highest-charting hit, reaching number 10 on the French Singles Chart. He also made history by earning a Gold Single certification for his song “Fè m Voyé,” performed entirely in Haitian Creole, making him the first Haitian artist to achieve this.

Known for his electrifying live performances, Joé has toured across France, Belgium, Switzerland, the USA, and Canada, playing at iconic venues like La Cigale in Paris. As of 2024, with the release of his latest album Goumin, Joé Dwèt Filé continues to solidify his influence on the global music scene.
