Hyunjin

Hwang Hyun-jin, better known as Hyunjin, was born on March 20, 2000, in Seoul, South Korea. He is a rapper, dancer, and singer who rose to fame as a member of the popular K-pop group Stray Kids, which was formed by JYP Entertainment in 2017. His entry into the entertainment world was rather unexpected; Hyunjin was scouted by a JYP Entertainment agent while out shopping with his mother during his middle school years. Before this, he had no formal dance training, but he later pursued his passion by studying practical dance at the prestigious School of Performing Arts Seoul (SOPA), graduating in 2019.

Since Stray Kids’ debut, Hyunjin has become known for his dynamic performance skills, contributing to the group not only as a rapper but also as a skilled dancer and lyricist. In addition to his work with Stray Kids, he expanded his public profile by co-hosting the popular music program Show! Music Core from 2019 to 2021. His influence also extends to the fashion industry, where he has become a brand ambassador for high-end labels like Versace, Cartier, and Givenchy Beauty.

Despite his successes, Hyunjin has faced some health challenges. In July 2022, he injured his hand, which affected his participation in Stray Kids’ Maniac World Tour. Later, in September 2023, he and his bandmates Lee Know and Seungmin were involved in a minor road accident, which led to some adjustments in their performance schedule. Nonetheless, Hyunjin continues to be a prominent figure in both the music and fashion industries.
