About HyunA

HyunA, born Kim Hyun-ah on June 6, 1992, in Seoul, South Korea, is a pioneering K-pop artist whose fearless individuality, dynamic performances, and ever-evolving sound have made her one of the most recognizable names in Korean pop music. She first stepped into the spotlight as a member of Wonder Girls in 2007, though she left shortly after due to health issues. Two years later, she re-emerged as part of the girl group 4Minute under Cube Entertainment, where her charisma quickly set her apart. Her solo career launched in 2010 with the single “Change,” but it was her bold and infectious 2011 hit “Bubble Pop!” that made her a global sensation—earning her the distinction of being the first female K-pop soloist to surpass 100 million views on YouTube.

Throughout her career, HyunA has continued to reinvent herself while staying true to her provocative and unapologetic style. She formed the daring duo Trouble Maker in 2011, and later joined the co-ed project Triple H in 2017. After leaving Cube Entertainment in 2018, she signed with PSY’s label P Nation, releasing standout tracks like “Flower Shower” and the colorful EP I’m Not Cool. Her artistic journey took another turn in 2023 when she joined At Area, leading to her more vulnerable and genre-blending 2024 EP Attitude and a comeback tour across North America. Beyond music, HyunA has spoken openly about her struggles with mental and physical health, becoming a voice for awareness and authenticity in the industry. In October 2024, she married fellow artist Yong Jun-hyung, starting a new chapter in both her personal and professional life.
