About Enjambre

Enjambre is a celebrated Mexican rock band that blends nostalgic tones with poetic depth, forming a sound uniquely their own. The band was formed in 2001 in Santa Ana, California, by brothers Luis Humberto and Rafael Navejas and their cousin Romeo Navejas—originally hailing from Fresnillo, Zacatecas. After the family moved to the U.S. in 1998, the cousins began shaping their musical vision. The name “Enjambre,” meaning “swarm” in Spanish, captures the tight-knit energy and unity that defines their music and identity.

Their debut album Consuelo en domingo (2005) introduced their blend of alternative and progressive rock, earning them early recognition in underground music circles. But it was their 2010 release Daltónico that propelled them into the Latin American spotlight, spawning hits like “Manía cardíaca” and “Dulce soledad,” and earning double gold certification in Mexico.

Known for rich, metaphorical lyrics and retro-leaning instrumentation, Enjambre’s music evokes the past while remaining strikingly relevant. Albums like Los huéspedes del orbe (2012) and Proaño (2014) pushed their sound into more experimental territories, while Imperfecto extraño (2017) and Próximos prójimos (2020) reflected maturity, social awareness, and a continued commitment to evolving their craft. Their 2023 release, Noches de salón, paid homage to classic Latin ballroom styles, adding yet another layer to their diverse discography.

With appearances at major festivals like Vive Latino and a 2025 U.S. tour under their belt, Enjambre has firmly established itself as one of Latin America’s most compelling rock bands—revered for their authenticity, introspection, and enduring artistry.
