Highlight (하이라이트) is a South Korean boy group admired for their talent, perseverance, and evolution in the K-pop industry. The group originally debuted as BEAST (B2ST) on October 16, 2009, under Cube Entertainment. From the start, they stood out with their debut mini-album Beast Is the B2ST, and soon gained massive popularity with hits like Fiction and Shock. Their 2011 album Fiction and Fact was a major success, helping them earn numerous awards from prestigious ceremonies like the Seoul Music Awards and Melon Music Awards.

After years of success, the group faced a major transition in 2016. With the departure of member Jang Hyun-seung and their contracts with Cube coming to an end, the remaining five members — Yoon Doo-joon, Yang Yo-seob, Lee Gi-kwang, Son Dong-woon, and Yong Jun-hyung — chose a new path. They founded their own agency, Around Us Entertainment, and due to trademark issues with the name BEAST, they reintroduced themselves as Highlight in 2017, inspired by the title of their final album as BEAST.

They re-debuted with the mini-album Can You Feel It? and continued their musical journey with a fresh identity. In 2019, Jun-hyung departed from the group, and Highlight continued as a four-member act.

Highlight’s story is one of growth, reinvention, and passion — a group that turned challenges into milestones and earned their lasting spot in K-pop history.
