GISELLE (aespa)

Giselle, born Uchinaga Aeri on October 30, 2000, in Seoul, South Korea, is a multi-talented singer and rapper who rose to fame as a member of the K-pop group aespa. With a Japanese father and a Korean mother, Giselle’s unique cultural background has played a significant role in shaping her artistic identity.

Raised in Tokyo, Giselle attended the Tokyo International School and the International School of the Sacred Heart, where she first discovered her love for K-pop. Fluent in Japanese, Korean, and English, she moved to South Korea after completing her studies to pursue a career in music. After training for just eleven months under SM Entertainment, she was introduced as the third member of aespa on November 6, 2020. The group debuted shortly after with their viral hit, “Black Mamba.”

Since joining aespa, Giselle has not only contributed her vocal and rap skills to the group but has also taken part in several ventures outside of music. In June 2024, she was featured on BOL4’s single “Lips,” and in February 2025, she was appointed the global ambassador for the skincare brand SENKA. Giselle also made headlines for her philanthropic efforts, donating KR₩10 million to Yuhengsa, an organization focused on rescuing abandoned animals.

With her diverse linguistic skills, cultural heritage, and immense talent, Giselle has become an integral part of aespa’s global success, captivating fans worldwide with her unique presence.
