About FUEGO

Fuego, born Miguel Ángel Durán Jr. on September 24, 1981, in Washington, D.C., is a Dominican-American artist who has carved out a bold space in the world of Latin urban music. Raised in Langley Park, Maryland, Fuego grew up surrounded by a rich mix of Dominican rhythms and American hip-hop—two influences that would later define his sound.

His journey into music began in the late ’90s when he co-founded the group 3men2 (also known as Tremendo) with his brother and close friends. After the group disbanded, Fuego teamed up with DJ Menace, a key figure in bringing reggaeton to the D.C. scene. This collaboration helped him gain local traction and laid the groundwork for his solo breakout.

In 2010, he dropped his debut album La Música del Futuro, a genre-blending project that spotlighted his versatility—from bachata and merengue to R&B and Latin trap. His fame grew internationally thanks to creative Spanish remixes of hits like Drake’s Hotline Bling and Gyptian’s Hold You, earning him fans across language and culture barriers.

Over the years, Fuego has released several acclaimed projects, including Fireboy Forever 2, You’re Welcome, Nightshift, and Supremo. He’s also the founder of Fireboy Inc./Sauce Gang and is currently signed to Lionfish Entertainment.

More than just an artist, Fuego is an entrepreneur and cultural trailblazer, pushing Latin music forward while staying true to his roots. His career reflects both evolution and authenticity—two traits that continue to define his impact today.
