Frost Children

Frost Children is an American hyperpop duo consisting of siblings Angel and Lulu Prost. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, the duo now calls Ridgewood, New York, home. Their music is an eclectic blend of hyperpop, glitchcore, synth-pop, punk rock, electro-punk, hardstyle, and screamo, resulting in a genre-defying and innovative sound that stands out in the contemporary music scene.

The duo’s musical journey began in 2019, with Angel residing in the Bronx and Lulu studying music in Nashville. They initially collaborated remotely, with their first track being a hyperpop cover of Fall Out Boy’s “Yule Shoot Your Eye Out.” The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 led them to quarantine together in St. Louis, where they created their debut collection, Aviation Creates Adventurous Beginnings. Their follow-up release, Elixir Rejection, came out in 2021.

Frost Children gained further recognition with their debut full-length album, Spiral (2022), recorded in upstate New York. The album gained attention within New York City’s Dimes Square creative scene, helping to solidify their place in the indie and experimental music circles. In 2023, they released two contrasting albums: Speed Run, known for its hard-hitting energy, and Hearth Room, which leaned into a more refined, acoustic sound with emotional depth.

The duo often tackles themes of alienation and gender dysphoria in their music, drawing inspiration from internet culture and memes. Their fanbase, a community of both indie enthusiasts and hyper-online fans, continues to grow as Frost Children pushes musical boundaries. In 2024, they collaborated with Porter Robinson on “Mona Lisa” and released the single “Shake It Like A” with Danny Brown. Known for their dynamic live performances, Frost Children continue to make waves in both digital and music communities.
