Federico Bertollini, professionally known as Franco126, is an Italian singer, rapper, and songwriter born on July 4, 1992, in Rome. He first gained recognition as part of the duo Carl Brave x Franco126, alongside rapper and producer Carl Brave. Their 2017 album Polaroid became a massive success, achieving double platinum status in Italy.

In 2018, Franco126 embarked on a solo career, releasing his debut singles “Frigobar” and “Ieri l’altro,” both of which laid the foundation for his first solo album Stanza singola. Released in 2019, the album quickly became a hit, reaching the top ten in Italy and earning platinum certification. It featured collaborations with artists like Tommaso Paradiso and showcased Franco126’s unique blend of indie pop and rap.

Franco126’s sophomore album, Multisala, released in 2021, marked a significant milestone in his career by becoming his first number-one album. The album included standout tracks like “Che senso ha” and “Blue Jeans,” the latter featuring vocals from Calcutta. In support of Multisala, Franco126 toured major venues such as Milan’s Mediolanum Forum and Rome’s PalaLottomatica.

The name “Franco126” is inspired by the 126 steps of the Viale Glorioso staircase in Rome’s Trastevere neighborhood, a place of significance for his musical collective. Known for his introspective lyrics and smooth vocal delivery, Franco126 has established himself as a prominent figure in Italy’s contemporary music scene.
